Wind up and jump as if you were performing a 360. when in the air, instead of shooting out a crescent kick, the right leg shoots to the side as a side kick and the left leg shoots to the left as a ball kick, thus performing a scissor kick after the rotation. For even more difficulty try a 360 Triple Kick. This hasn't been performed by anyone on the NASKA Circuit but has only been seen by a handful of people like Anthony Atkins, Daniel Sterling, Kim Do, Myself, and a few others. [Darian]
This is a variation kick, all you do is take a few running steps backwards and throw a side-swipe, it's kind of wierd, but if you can all ready bust a side swipe it's not too hard.
Ok everyone let me break it down for you all. These kicks and flips you guys are talking about are all fancy and can never help you in a real life fight. Take it from me I've seen way to many people get knocked out trying these on people so please only use these for show and never in a real fight. Oh! and just because I don't believe in them doesn't mean I can't do them :)
guys, the trick behind hitting someone while their doing these kinds of things is to, not try, you back off and wait for the landing, duck, roll and dodge, thats all their is to it, being a good fighter is alos knowing when to MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, and i agree with the fellow above this, these moves mostly only intimidate, theres nothing another move cant do
Personally im never tempted to use these techniques in a real fight apart from maybe 1 for intimidation. The bottom line is that if you learn them, your confidence and ability to control your body and its motion is invaluable to any martial artist. this is what i teach my students, anyway.
Here's what this is. First, you have to jump (but in fact, you don't have to, but whatever...). Second of all, if you're a bit left-handed for kicks like me (my left leg is the better for any 360° at any height from head to feets), do a side left kick (the exterior of your feet or leg), a side right kick (the interior or your feet and leg). Than, well they talk about a triple 360, they simply mean adding a normal 360 single kick (you kick after turning). The opposite if you're better turning on right for 360s.
Forget it. When I spar (TKD World Bronze medallist - Poland 2001) and I see ANY of these flash kicks coming at me, the build up is so long that you can it coming a mile off anyway. Stick to basics.. They look great pissing about but in a real situation you've got ot be mad to put yourself at risk by attempting pretty much ANYTHING with a spin in it!
These are tricks... that has nothing to do with sparring. The fanciest move I know that can be used in a sparring is my own personnal triple kick I invented. Uh, that's because it's not a trick but more of a combo, even if people find it a bit too esthetic sometimes, it perfectly works during a fight.
most people know that tricks are not to be used in a sparring situation...uhhh, to that dude who sa id to try and throw a fancy kick at a wushu/shaolin expert....most of us non-experts would have a si miar exerince just throwing a normal kick at an ex pert.... Tricks are cool as hell...many peopl e hate them, because they're not practical...bu t they're a fun pastime...no shit they're not pra ctical. Anyone who thinks they are, is a dumbass.
Look, a scissor kick is great, i admit, however i t takes to long to actually pull it off. i mean look at it this way, im standing infront of a guy, he doe s a 360 and tries to kick me. lol i just move back and wait. then i attack with just 1 punch. its easy to a void it. that is why i prefer the inside crescent k ick followed through with a round kick with the ot her leg. trust me, its more effective and easier t o do. plus its got the looks as well.
cheerleading sucks i am a dancer and my "toe to uches" (there really called russians) are amazi ng i can go really high and im amazingly flexible i can go past 180 degrees- farther than a full split .
sorry i was in a bad mood though i still think danc e is better here is some advice ...all you have to d o is roll through your feet and push off as hard as y ou can. If you wanna go higher, try putting weight s on your ankles and do the toe touches after take t he weights off and then do them again and they will be a lot higher. see if that helps
