after watching alot of vids...Ive come to the conclusion that the aerial switch and the sideswipe are basically the same movement...except that the switch is done starting more on your side at takeoff...otherwise the same basic movement no?
First of all - (IMHO) there are many different types of sideswipe. The capoeira way is like horizontal/inverted 540. The taek-won-do way is totally vertical, beginning almost like a forward walkover and then switching legs after whipping torso. In other hand the aerial switch is launched like a normal aerial (so it can be even a bit horizontal) only the second leg overtakes the first one. I see it this way.
YO TO ALL DUDES THAT CAN DO A AERIAL GIVE ME SOME TIPS.... I CAN O MOST TRICKS JUST THAT IM HAVING TROUBLE DOING THIS ONE SFOR SOME APARENT REASON.. SO ANY TIPS I CAN DO DO ONE HANDED CARTWEEL, REALLY WELL I CAN LET GO HALF WAY THROUGH IT BUT I ESTIILL FIND IT HARD TO DO IT ? HELP
it takes practise and alod of guts if you try it for da first time you will bail most likely. the first time i did it was because i forgot toput my hand down in a one handed round off so dats how i did it but. i dont know if you start with your legs like sideways like a cartwheel but i find it helps if one is in front of the other. then throw arms over your head then keep your legs wide apart i find its esier and den try to land. dats all i can sy and good luck wif dis trick
can any one help me i cant do a damn reverse aerial i did it once and damn did it feel good so if you can help dat b great usually i can get on one fot den cant eva land tho casue my weight is forward so i dont tihnk i am getitn enuf rotation .
okay about the Side-swipe ways up there....yes i do agree with you...but you tell me how you get mo re vertical( like a 540 side swipe----go Steve te rada he owns that trick haha) anyway. . on an Areia l....so yes switching your legs does work. and ye s yes the switch and the sideswipe areial is prett y much the same
Hey guys, usually the technique people are lack ing when trying to do an aerial is that you should t ake a really huge step and push really hard with th e front leg - this gives you height and allows your legs to come around faster. Also get your chest lo w and most importantly - don't put your hands on th e ground. I know this sounds stupid but alot of peo ple would easily land the aerial if they didn't pu t their hands down, but they're just too scared ab out falling on their craniums. If you tuck your ha nds near your chest you can easily put them back on the ground if you fear that your aerial is too low. Good Luck...
