hi every body ive only just found ut this sight becuse im teaching myself ninjutsu and im very far now i only need weapons trainning and aorobicks and im trying to do airobicks but im scared incase i fall while trying to do a backflip our somthing and land on my back and be paralized our somthin has any 1 got any good tips to overcome this fear thnx
The fear is there for good reason. To overcome it you need to develop good technique so that your body doesnt have to be scared you're gonna die.
Start going into back-bridges from crouching - reaching over backwards and into a bridge. This is the most basic 'going-back' fear to overcome.
then go into back-bridges from standing.
then try to do them more and more rapidly - building up confidence.
then do them from crouching and as you do kick one of your legs up. - eventually you have crouching back-flip (a valdez in bboy terms).
from there do the same for standing.
An other way is the gymnastics method, which is just to have people stand there and help you over. basically they support you and literally swing you over before you can get into any difficulty. you then learn to rely on them less and less until you can do it yourself.
its called 'spotting' for some reason. you could join a gymnastics club and learn it if you wanted...
I am teaching myself Karate after my father just dropped training me. Ahh, so not fare. He's been teaching me since I was a little girl, but he hasn't taught me everything, more like the basics. I am making up some forms of my own but can anyone give me any pointers. Thanxsa you Peace Neffy
Well, Im not in any kind of club but I have so far managed to teach myself walking on hands which is now a piece of cake and I can also do Jackie Chan push ups while doing hand stand! Also learnt back hand spring, backflip, no handed cartwheel and am now beginning to run out of ideas. Do you think you could add some pics on this site?
like say your geting thrown and you don't wont to land on your face. Thats why you would do a master suicide. when you land it's not so much your hand that soften the fall but your body. let me explain. when you fall on a wooden floor and you try to catch your self you risk breaking you wrists, arms and so on. but by landing with your legs in the proper spot you'll see that it don't hurt. find a judo or ju-jitsu dojo and that's one of the first things you are taught. and it takes time
I was watching the new Nike commecial where the guy is being chased by a chicken and he jumps from the second story and landed on his feet no injury...is there some special fall you have to learn?
Yes youre right in Ninjutsu we learn that big leaps from high places requires you to roll immediately after you touch down you wouldnt believe how much this helps, There are two types of suicides we learn in Ninjutsu the Front flip version and a diagonal flip version landing into a side break fall these are helpful in learning your break falls if youre thrown or something hahahahaha what i will learn however is the Ultimate Suicide lol.
in regards to izzys comment "what the hell is the point??" the suicicide moves are actually breakdancing teqnique names, to link aerial moves to ground moves in chains or combos. also yes it is similar to the ninjitsu rollout.
there are no schools for Capoeira where I live and untill I can graduate and learn at an actual school what can I do to learn some of the aerial kicks or flips because I take tsunami ryu karate and tibetan gung fu and I haven't been taught any of that stuff and the more I know the happier I will be so if anyone that has any tips on what to do when I am just sitting around and I have nothing to do that I can actually do what you guys write if you tell me to try it I will. My sensai told me to try a backflip (I never had tried it) so I said alright I tried and landed it then he wanted me to do it again and I landed on my head lol. I was alright just heard a loud snap and went inside to rest but other then that I was fine. So advice and techniques would be very appreciated Protege Josh
i can backflip front flip and loads more. i learned myself i just need to do the aerial. i am going to my friends on saturday and there is some really soft grass its like mats so i will work on it for a few hours.
You guys need to check these guys out! I saw them in a demonstration once and they run security here and there! They are totally serious! Everyone on this team can flip really well and is really good at martial arts! I have been doing martial arts for a long time and these guys have only been around a few years! jedhai.com
i don't it, every little move has to have a name! sure, we all know its possible to land on your back, so? we also know its possible to land on our head! does that mean we have to give a name for it? so people will try it and hurt themselves? yeah right!
all you people talking about whats the point in hurting yourself whats the point in being a wuss if you dont want to hurt yourself dont try and dont bother other people who just do what they like stay off this site, quit talking crap to those who are trying to learn and have fun
Many of these are falling techniques that teach you to land right if someone say, tosses you a few yards. also, going to your back via flip is often a good way to get out of some joint manipulation techniques, where the ground is in your way.
if u want to learn capoeira start with flipping ill teach u dont be scared i could tell u all these different ways to do it but just do it BUT DO IT IN THE SAND i sware it dosent hurt if u fall
indeed this site truly personifies and embraces the err and flaw of generational artists. your inferiority dictates the need as a means to your own sweet demise.toil with many a computer or movie too many and the result is evident enough to suffice that none of you truly wish to dirty your hands or bloody your soul. a fall is a fall by any other extenuations, though until you "die" in a true fight dont dare overestimate your own significance. tricks are nothing more than what they already are...the very fact that my words will anger you compound my truth...
this is so gay..when you mess up a front hand spring or backflip you land on your back..i think these "moves" or whatever were made by idiots who couldn't learn the move right and these were invented to make them feel better...
sup people I found this site also because im teachin myself ninjitsu but its easy for me cause i know tae kwon do.but its still pretty hard all i need to learn is flips and weapon training
I learned to do that from my older brother who first did it at my uncles farm, boring and crapy, he also taught me the spining roundhous so i can kick the tale of any punk but after me...
just start by doing dive rolls using your hands to ease your body onto the ground, and slowly let your bac k take additional force. then start doing more of a front flip than a diveroll and transfer all the w eight onto your body.. on landings try to have as m uch of your body hit the ground at the same time inc luding as much of your arms as possible and your le gs. learning this will make ground hits a lot easi er to take and will be very useful if doing exhibit ions or if you are in an actual fight. also a great l ittle trick for your friends, i can jump as hard as i can and flip straight onto my back, no pain or eff ect at all
Why does anyone do ny suicide variations of tric ks? I accidentally did a 180 frontflip suicide of f the high dive and lnded on my back. YOWWWWWWWWWW WW!!!!! I'm just curious.
In my ju-jutsu based class we do these as break-f alls. You start with the crouching thing someo ne has mentioned and spring back onto your upperb ack/shoulders using your spread arms to absorb s hock. Then possibly roll out, if suitable. The n you move onto dropping from standing into a back -bridge kinda thing where your shoulders and fee t are on the ground. Then you move onto what we ca ll a "hand-stand over the top" which is like a "bab y-suicide". Then into an "over the top" which i s like a master suicide. The "suicide" sorta co mes inbetween, but is unofficial, its just getti ng your nerves up for the full jobby!
We use th em to breakfall out of certain throws. An example is a "reverse head throw" which is basically when someone is behind you facing you and you kinda thr ow them, using their head, over your shoulder and on to their back. You kinda need to know how to land to avoid having your spine messed up. Especially sore is landing on your tail bone. You will not sit right for weeks!
my put my cock inside to the teachers washroom an she say yaaaaaaaa come whit my and smock mariguan a whit my and i do whit you the master suicide whit y ou big cock ok
I looked up acrobats nd i came to this site, it did help though thanx. I'm more into gym trix but I'm s o not flexible. I stretch all the time, what else c an I do, Im not getting any better.
whats the fucking point of doing it on your back? i was looking down the column to the left and saw ki p up suicide when i found out what it was i pissed my slef Stop trying to think of better more impres ssive ways to kip up and move onto harder things li ke backflips and shit, i must admit ULTIMATE suic ude does have a sweet spot in my heart though (Do a f rontflip off a Roof, and land on your back.)
Hey.. There's alot of people out there saying 'whats the point in falling on your back?'. I'm a royal marine and I learn jujitsu along with 3 or 4 other styles (karate, tkd, muay thai & judo). The 'suicides' aren't called suicides where I train. There called 'brakefalls', which is alot more sensibly named I feel. We use them alot in combat. When we need to hit the deck quickly or 'land heavy' we use these techniques to absorb the impact that we would usually recieve. In jujitsu etc it also helps you with a 'controlled fall'. It enables you to hit the deck and absorb the impact and hopefully recover or counter to the best of your ability.
Don't under estimate them, but you should most certinally take some lessons with a judo or jujitsu class before you try these your self. Do it on a mat or you'll damage your joints.
Every move in gymnastics that isn't a flex or strength pull is done with the body in a perfect "popsticle stick" position. If you can't do a piroutte, I recommend that you practice one. If you can, the ultimate high is what we used to call an Egyptian Noodle. It has no practical value in martial arts, but it is fun, dangerous, and it looks really cool.
Get on a trampoline. Jump as high as you can. Dive like Greg Luganis head first. At the last second, tuck your head, straiten your body, and turn like you would in a pirouette. The goal is to land on your back then bounce to your feet.
Just don't try it at home. Spotters are everything, and pretty shit dosen't win fights.
