A standing backflip-kick. Use a 2 foot take-off, do the kick as soon as possible, keep kicking leg straight and bend the other leg, land on the kicking leg. [Brian]
To do this move, first do a combat roll and as you come out of it instead of standing up, do a neck spring on to your feet. This moves looks very impressive when completed properly!
The mind is the best weapon. If you have a weapon of any kind you can be beguiled into believing you are in charge and really being led around by the nose, Miyamuto Musahi proved this by defeating swordsmen with a oar.
I like the horse bench. You can sit on it comfortably. Or Rings, the form is elegant. Or fan, used by scholars. Or three sectional, combines many. Or... Actually any weapon you know how to use correctly.
I am interested in learning all that I can about the martial arts but I cant aford any classes or any formal training of any kind.... And I was wondering if any one could give me some tips on streching that would help me get ready for some training.... I woudl be greatful for any suggestions.
ok i will tell you mr dissaray the streches that are vital for martial arts and the u can go and research them yuorself on the internet ok because that will save me some typing plus you will prably find better advise this way
#1 splits
#2 pike and stradle pike hold
actuly man just look up in google "martial arts strreching" im sure u will find good results....
i don't think anyone will read my small section in the "1080" section, there are just too many moves and ppl are looking so fast but i despreatly need help!!!
well thank u mr hahahasucksh1t u have just proved the point that u really do need brains to achieve not only correct gramma, but a level of sophistication high enough to understand the theory behind morals and principals!!
you can't. or not that i know of. the only kind of variation i've seen of that is a really short black belt doing a handspring variation when he kicks this tall guy in the chin... aka he didn't do a backflip, he used his hands to push himself over. u've got major balls if u even think about trying to pull that off.
These are fun as well...It's like a backflip. When you do your backflip do a kick like thing. Almost an american Splits like thing. And then land...That's what I do.
watch this jet li movies, in 'The One' and in 'Fist Of Legend' he does the backflip kick thing, and hits the guy in the chin (fist of legend), and the other he like runs up the guys body and does a backflip off but, with his legs streched out (the one)
My favourite versions of this kick are Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon" (counter to Bob Wall's shoot for the foot), Phillip Rhee in "Best of the Best 3" (last move of a bitch-ass nasty combo) and Kurt McKinney in "No Retreat, No Surrender" (Just cause he used it on Jean-Claude Van Damme's fat head.)
I was thinking... in my martial arts class... I've never heard of a flash kick... Then I went to do some flips, then I came back, and thought of Street Fighter... Then I thought of Guile... Then I remembered the flash kick... Then I noticed you want to do useless techniques that only look cool but do not do much damage...
Anyway, to do one, just do a backflip and kick in the air... Not that hard. (If you can do a backflip...!) ^_^
"Using no way, as way. Using no limitation, as limitation." Is the key to true enlightenment. - Bruce Lee and myself.
Hey, i just wanted to know if there is a move where you use a part of your body to knock someone's weap on out of their hands. My friend did something lik e this, I swung at him with my staff(he asked me to a ttack him, just to let you know), and he jumped up a nd landed on it and knocked it to the ground. Is the re any other way?

Another kool version of thi s is to flip up, but they behind you so you land on th eir shoulders, and grab as tight as you can to thei r neck with your legs, while leaning back, like fo r a handspring. if you have enough momentum, youl l pullem down with you, and (hopefully) place the ir face in the ground.
oo.. I WANNA SEE THAT!
btw, im just combining Lin Xaio Xou's (?) move on tekken Tag, with Kings, where king does a suici de onto their shoulders, then pulls em down.
1. Get a shoe and tie a knife to the bottom of it and just kick them. 2. In the midle of a fight poke th em in the eye. 3. If there bigger or harder than y ou, just run away
I am 14 years old and have always been a very gymna stic person, i only have limited skills, althoug h i am a very fast learner. At the moment the only st uff i can do are, fronflips, hanstands, handspri ngs, wall flips(rarely), butterfly kicks, scis sor kicks and all of the basics, ie cartwheels, ro undoffs and variations of the two, i want to learn to do a backflip so that i can vary it and use it as th e basis for many other tricks. Apart from this gym nastic ability i also have a very profound skill o f jumping very large gaps and off very high things . Can any1 give me some advice as to what martial ar ts courses would best suit me. I also did a course i n Judo about 3 years ago but i got bored as it was bec oming too easy. Oh and in response to the arguemen t about the best weapons, i think that the Broadsw ord or the Batlas are the best weapons. I alos enjo y using a staff, mostly because it looks really ko ol when u are spinning it and stuff like that. Anyw ay any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Callum: You got bored..? lol anyway the best f lexibility martial arts IMHO is TKD i Take Aikido And Kempo Karate use to take TKD so if you can find a school near you that should help... as far as help ing you do a backflip goes no martial arts will tea ch you to do a backflip.
hi could someone be able to send me a video of this being done or a link to a site where they have video s or pictures thanks. my email is krust_unit@hot mail.com
So if you're trying this I'm assuming you can fla shkick off a round off and standing backtuck (pik ed would be even more useful). Well first things f irst you jumped up throwing your hands into the sk y like a normal backflip then you drive your hips u p and pull your body back and kick out with the leg y ou're going to land on and as you hit the ground wit h the kicking leg pull the rest of your body up to st op you landing in an ugly slouch/crouch. the firs t few times you'll land on both feet but keep at it a nd you'll soon land one foot and then the other. th ere's a full tutorial of this at www.trickstutor ials.com
