This is really called a Capoeira Au, but that dont matter, the main thing here is make sure you can get the au batido on both hands, and quite nice ones too, no half arsing here. Once you got both of them very nice looking, when you go into the capoeira au, dont think of trying to stay as close as to were your foot was, or it will be very, if not almost impossible to switch your body over to do the au batido on the other hand, so think more out with your hand, and it will give you the momentum to switch over with your hand and kick, and not just do some weird looking au batido
It's actually called a beija flor (Hummingbird in Portuguese). If you asked a capoeirista to sho w you a "Capoeira Au" They would look at you funny, then do a cartwheel in a decidedly non-gymnast fa shion. The above description of how to prepare fo r the cick is decent. The kick itself comes from do ing Au Batido (plant one hand and kick the opposin g leg over) but overkicking slightly to cary your body weight over. As you continue to tip, you plan t the other hand and are in a handstand with one leg extended for a split second. Now switch legs and c ontinue to tip into the standing position, first planting your non-kicking leg.
I usualy do this after a double fist punch (much l ike ryu's hadooken off of street fighter) then ta ke an additional step forward and throw both of yo ur legs into your opponents chest. the only draw b ack is you land on your back. it is a very powerful k ick if you get full extension in your legs.
yer this move is like an l kick but you switch your hands really fast. so if u plant on your right hand first then you swithc to your left hand and it look s great if done properly. the transition if a bit l ike hopping if u understand what i mean
