Try not to be so tense when you flip. Make it a soft jump, imagine your jumoung trough a hole or something.. crouch and stretch..that way i learned it.. Im no master at frontflips but i manage to land on my feets..
when i front flip, i put most of the energy into a jump upward, not forward. this way you will avoid over-rotation. As you jupm staight up, fling your arms around and go into a tuck. if you still think you will over-rotate, simply straighten up before landing. good luck!
ive been doing judo almost since i could walk, taekwondo 10yrs, aikido 3yrs, and muay thai 2yrs: ~that move where u jump, turning to ur right (if ur front leg is ur left) and then making contact with ur right heel or toe. - simple stepbystep- crouch, rise halfway on right foot with left knee up, jump off your right foot, spin.bring left leg down.kick with right foot., land on left foot
most of the moves you find on this site would just get you hurt in a real fight b/c they take to long to execute and are to flashy to be functional...thats all the help i can give on that...email me if your ever in florida and want to spar
I have been on judo for 10 years and jujitsu for nearly 7. Then i began wushu and wingchun at 16, and i can tell u wushu helps those who wish to do "trickin'" or acrobatic karate. I aslo got into alittle kick boxin' (thai style) and TKD which helps kickin' and gymnastics help a whole lot.
You dont necessarily have to jump higher. I've seen one foot high front flips, its all in the rotation. I dont know what law of physics it is, but if you expand and then contract quickly when you rotate you will rotate much faster, try to apply that.
I have been trying to do a handstand then a flip,but every time I do it I only get to the handstand part. How can I do it with out being scared? Do you have any tips for me?

Whenever I try to do a frontflip, I end up on my but t, no matter how fast i turn. I have decided its bec ause i cant jump high enough. Can N E one give me tip s on how to get a better vertical? I am only 12 years old, but im very determined and i have been doing t aekwondo for almost nine years. If anyone has som e tips, id appreciate it a lot. Thnx!
