a jump back onto the shoulders with the legs folding over the head sometimes touching the ground and then a kip up. seen in Hong Kong action movie fight scenes.
starts off like a back handspring, but the arms collapse so that the shoulders and part of the back touch the ground and the legs touch (or almost touch) the ground beyond the head. not a move to do on concrete.
start like a back handspring, but when you land on your hands, colapse the arms and perform a kip up to land on feet. Can also be started like a gainer. [Aranha]
Ok, this is for experts only. Don't try it unless you can easily pull off a brandy. You start with a gainer setup, and go through it with pulling your leg up, but start to twist. By the time you are facing the opposite direction you are going, you have to tuck forward hard and keep twisting sideways. If you just go through with that and brace your legs, you will land if you have the skill. This move was an accident and almost got the Blacklotus Crew killed. Hence the name Shi, which means death. This is easy! The only requirement is know how to do a kip-up/chinese get-up/kick-up. Bend your knees, swing your arms forward, then fall back and take out your feet from under you...BUT make sure you put your hands on the ground by your head before you hit. Later... if you feel confident don't use your hands to start.Enjoy! ^-^
hi, when i do this move, the back of my head tends to slightly bang on the surface. it's not that major, but i'm wondering if there is any tips to avoid this or make it smoother. should i tuck my chin?
this looks amazing if done by the right person..eg Jackie Chan does this trick brilliantly in his fight sceens.anyway i learnt how to do this by starting in a crab position cuz your hands are already in the same position has how you land butyour shoulders are slightly off the floor.after you have got your self into the crab kick you legs up and over your head.while you legs are over your head collapse your elbows so your shoulders drop to the floor(keep your chin in your chest to stop banging your head on the floor).once you think you have this down try flicking you legs out while actually going into the crab and keep progressing by flicking your legs out earlyer and earlyer each time until you go from the standing position...the earlyer you flick you legs out the higher you will go and the better it will look.P.S. IF YOU DO ACTUALLY DECIDE TO LEARN THIS TRICK DONT GIVE UP CUZ I DOES LOOK GOOD WHEN YOU PERFECT IT.
if any one could tell me how to do a back bend i can go all the way down but i cant flip over and i need help doing back hand springs e mail me with help funkymunkey96@Hotmail.com thanx
I can kip, I can backflip/handspring (just), but this move seems to freak me out just a little too much. I have tried to do the move from a back handspring motion but i tend to get near the handstand position, then fall into a headstand then headspring instead! Now, don't get me wrong, that looks alright, but it ain't smooth and it doesn't do my head and upper spine much good- I have termed it the headache flip as a result. What I want to know is how do I get my arms to collapse at the right angle so I can kip out of it? I've also tried to back drop into a kip, but I get the impression that would hurt if I did it onto anything other than a crash mat. What I want is a nice back handspring for the first half of the motion and a neat, controlled kip at the end. Someone advised me to throw the flip part like a moonsault so it goes higher, but that results in a more painful headache flip!!!! Any ideas, guys?
i have been trying to do a backflip on the trampoline for the longest time but I just cant find the confidence to do it. I am so scared. can you give me any tips
Playing Tekken I thought this move might be impossible then I tried it. I did this move one night on a thin mat, and haven't really done it since. Practice doing a kip dropping from a handstand first to get the arm bending motion, some what. Then try back handsprings where you stall on your hands. Then add the two together, although you'll be a little more arched then a regular handstand when you start lowereing and folding. But don't drop to early or it hurts and looks bad.
Right now I'm trying a handstand drop kip up but you resume the handstand rather than pop to your feet, tough on the shoulders and triceps!
I have my own trick that i use in tournaments to confuse my competition. its called a arabian cartwheel. u will start off like your going to do a regular cartwheel or front hand spring with ur hands facing the forward direction. then when ur going over in ur rotation u will do a quater turn in mid air letting ur hands come off the floor and land in a standing position. this will set u up for ur next kick or tumbling combination u would like to do. usually i will come out of it and do a 540 gyro kick. or a round off flash kick. the choice is optional.
I think this move's name should be changed to something else. A Navy SEAL(special warfare commando) is also called a Frogman, and he can do so much more than a person who could perform this move!
I do this trick easily but its all about you back handspring... to master this you have to master the half back handspring, where you stop in handstand. About collapsing the arms that sound SO NOT RIGHT you bend the arms, but because of the momentom it look like you collapse. the rest is just a kip. and if you have the prob. that you go to headstand, just lift your chest when you start the jump.
