The truth on doing a gainer: you do NOT need that much speed when doing it. The first week, I ran super fast and always lost control. Jogging at a stedy pace will help. Come off on foot when you jump while the other leg is kicking in the air(for control)when airborn tuck in legs.
Exactly, finally someone that makes sense! Alo t of the comments on the regular gainer board will get you hurt. The secret is all in the swing with yo ur leg. Here is how I do it:
Start with your str ongest leg behind you..like a front stance for a k ata.
Take a couple of steps (two at the least) .
As soon as your strong leg is behind you agai n, begin to swing it HARD, like trying to kick a soc cer ball that's comming from behind you over your head.
Make sure to throw your arms as well and jump off the opposite leg. If you swing your stron g leg hard enough, you will give yourself more tha n enough spin, so you don't need ALOT of height, bu t height DEFINATELY helps.
