I saw a performer at Venice Beach do this. It was pretty cool. It wasn't like in the movie, though. Since he was doing it for real his leg and body position was shifted in order to stay balanced. I'll try to video tape him next time I see him.

Just dont go as far as in the movie becouse that is impossiable unless your knees are super strong and your equalibrium is off centered lol but as you lean back think of setting up for a read hand spring i have seen this done and then added a handspring to it becouse more than likey you are gonna fall so its liek delaying a hand spring and i have seen a guy bust and au batido out of it so try it i can almsot au batido form one but i have only been training for 6 months
I've got a black belt student at my school that can go back into the matrix, set his head on the ground, hold it there, and come back up. They've done stuff with it for demos, and people lose their minds!
You've got to see it to believe it! I've done demo's with the student (Drew as we know him) and we do double legs and all kinds of stuff while he just sits there in a perfect matrix! It's insane.
This move is often seen in Drunken Boxing. I like to call it "take a drink." Instead of all the Matrix arm movements, cup your hand and bring it to your lips and then lean back. I've seen old masters bend from their knees to parallel and come back up. I can only do it from my waist.
1) Spread your legs very far appart, like 3 feet appart (I'm 5'7), a little less than double your shoulder width. 2)Now, this is key, slowly move your your knees forword. As this happens your groin and entire upper body will move forward moving your center of gravity more over your knees, this is what makes this move possible. Otherwise, your leg strengh and and balance will not be strong enough to make an extreme movement like this one. 3) As you move your knees forward, start tilting your back down (Important note: the strengh of this move is in balance quad strengh, not in ability to arch your back, this move can actaully be performed without arching ones back) so it will be parrell to the ground. 4)Coming back up from this move takes lots of leg strengh.
Well, that's how it done. People think this one is really tight because it seems so impossible. Also you need fairly tight fitting tennis shoes when doing these. If you go questions email me.
Run sideways to a wall as fast as you can,and put your right fod sideways on the wall as high up as you can,and quickly put the left fot on the wall.and keep doing this as many times as you can. remember you are running sideways on the wall,NOT right up the wall.kick of the wall as if you jump on the ground.praktik this buy jumping on the wall and jumping of it and spin 180.i am 15years old and i can do this,and i know you can.
these is very very hard to do but am a master at it..thank god. run ass fast as you can about 50 dash run and go into a back and spring 10 times but dont loose balance.. then put your legs together and do the back flip then the twist sorry i cant really explain it but i can do it am a jamican male from
i need seriose back up with my back flip.I FEAR TO DO THE BACK FLIP...its not like i can´t do it.because i a good jump power.. i just FEAR to jump high an spin back flip.....still trying to beet my 2,5m up a wall...allmust imposible
1) the Matrix move is NOT possble to do like Neo did. Unless you have wires or something. But it IS possible to do something similar to it. Just do a back bend without putting your hands down...
2) It IS possible to do a wall aerial and run on the wall, just not horizontally....
Ever since i watched the matrix, my life changed. I trained my body so i can bend reality. I mastered doing the... -bullet dodging: Practice back stretches, keep stretching your vertebre and balance... Then you bend 6 in. from the ground and come back up. -Wall walk: first practice doing sprints and then your jumping. Also stretch. Then you run fast, don't be afraid or it won't work, remember your mind controls your reality, then step on the wall, right foot first, going left to the wall. Wear light shoes with good traction. Keep practicing until you are able to take at least 3 steps. The most I've taken was 4.
I just saw THE MATRIX RELOADED and it inspired me in a whole new way.Like my wall runs have turned into cartweel wall runs , were you ad a no handed cartweel at the end.when you are first trying this one its better for you to stay low (one foot on the wall) and use you hands, once you have mastered that, you can move on to running up the wall a bit higher and do it with no hands.be shure to make peace with youself and be confident you'll get good luck
Hi guys. I'm also trying to do the wall-run and the backflipp at the wall. But there are two problem ... lets ssay three. First of all, the wall I'm using is the wall of our house and ist not long enaugh (because of window, etc.) and under it there's just hard STONE,i dont want to have my face smacked in. And that is because I fear to backflip at the wall. When I tried it last time I leand as far backwards as i thought it possible. but i couldn jump hard enaugh of the wall, so i just landet on my back in the grass. But the hardest problem i have is: how do you take 3 or 4 steps on the wall? I allways ran as fast as I could, but when I did the second step i was allways droping myself of again, becaus the step pushes me away from the wall instead of bringen me further. How do you do that? Oh and, btw. if you got any vids, pics or only homepages, where these things are described send me (i have dsl so large vids and pics ar no problem)

Ok..I know what you are talking about coz i got the same problem...But im getting really good at wall runing ok The trick is,First you need to run but not too fast the first times ! and dont start training back flip off yet(you will just get hurt). You need to focus on THE jump.. Remember to jump as you put the first foot on the wall and like just use the wall to get higher than you can jump ( im talking about The wall run side ways of the wall Not strid up, But it is same teknic) and now im Able to place my Last step as far as i can reach with my hand,stanting right beside the wall...same way you have to Do when you are runing strid up the wall..It takes time to learn but now its easy the get by a wall higher than my self(Like half my hieght higher) saying this with small words. Dont run on the wall just Run to it and dont jump from the ground, but set your right or left foot on the And use the wall as you use the ground...and jump higher useing the wall( take small steps to get higher.NOT TOO SMALL) Then start training back flip off =) ..
I'm 15 years and I can get about 5 good step on the Wall Run (or whatever you call it)to do that, you step on the wall at about your stomach and step lightly on the wall the rest of the way... oh yeah, and catch yourself at the end. To do the Backflip off the Wall, you pickup a little bit of speed and put your dominate foot on the wall (at about your waist). Almost simultainesly , you jump backwards and bring your other foot up and over in a wide arch, the arch comming first(your momentem from your second leg is what complete the flip).

P.S the 2.5 metre wall run can be beaten easily we managed to do a cross over when we both wall run in opposite directions from each other.
If you push your hips forward as hard as you can, you can get to where your shoulders are only a few inches from the ground. Be careful though, it can really mess up your tailbone if you push it too hard.
is there a way to increase you jumps to where you can jump over6+ feet off the ground. also can ne one do the punch thing where neo finishes morpheos in the training program thanks oh ps feel free to e mail me

This si somehtign i really love doing, for a coup le of reasons. The first being becasue its cool. t he second being because i'm very much a non-flexi ble beginner, and it is one thing i can do better th an anyone else i've me tso far. If you have a enough strength to swing yourself down, stay balanced a nd then go back up, it is a very effective dodge, es pecially against staves.

Try arching your backflat but let ting a bo staff spin in the palm of your horizontal ly flat hand with it balanced and the other arm c hambered!
