I can't do one, but people have told me that being able to do an aerial and front flip are important. You're flipping sideways like an aerial, but your need more height and have your legs tucked like a front tuck. Anyone else have suggestions, especially about the take-off?
Do the one handed cartwheel over and over again, each time making the contact with the supporting hand lighter and lighter until your fingers barely touch the floor and the confidence not to put your hand down will come naturally. I did this three days ago for the first time. Took me about 8 attempts to build the confidence up then it just happened all by its self. Retraspectively the difference between success and failure at this as with many other similar techniques is confidence and suppleness. I doubt I would have had the same success If I couldn't do the splits, becuase you would require far more hight to get your legs all the way round before hiting the deck ! Remember your confidence to do the cartwheel with one hand came from doing it with two over and over again until one day 'Probably' you found yourself going over without realy using your trailing hand at all. The same principle definately applies.
If anyone has seen Kiss of the Dragon(great movie) then you will see a really freaky TKD(i think) trick buster/fighter that does two side flips.~PEACE~
Ok, I've been in gymnastics for like a year and a half and I learned this move quite awhile ago. There are two ways of doing this (if you have one of those mini trampolines then run and do it off of that. that's how I learned.) One way is to do a front flip really high, then do a quarter twist. BUT. Make sure you twist either once your vertical or a little before or it'll look like a messed up half twist.
The second way is run and go into it like an areal except take off sideways (if you can do it then try it while strafing) and do your areal then tuck your legs in. It's not that hard if you know what to do.
i've tried using one hand for lots of times, but i feel like i've left something out so i can't flip without hands, by the way...whats difference between aerial and side flip??
i can do a front tuck, and i'm workin on my aerial (which i've done like 2 without puttin my one hand down) but i can only do side simmies on a tramp... i've tried on the floor b4 and it just looks like a messed up front tuck. i think i just need to work on it more.
Start off like a frontflip and go side ways with the legs bent and try to keep tucked in. If you are too straight it might look like a messed up aerial or you could land on your knees or side.
for a nice arial also try to run into it....a sprint usually helps....u will start off using your hands but after a lil while youll have a nice looking aerial
ok people, all i want to know is how to take off,do u take off drumping straight up or to tha side like ur falling on ur side.another question is,is it the same as an aerial, just that the legs r tucked?thanks fo ur help.godbless
Try doing it after a carwheel for beginner just to get the feel of it. If you side-flip after a running carwheel it will give you the momentum to make it over no matter what.
U STUPID FUCKER 1 OF ALL A SIDEKICK IS REALLY CALLED CAR WHEEL 2 ITSEASY ESPEACIALLY IF U KNOW HOW TO DO A HAND STAND IF U HAE SQURE TILES ON UR FLOOR PUT UR LEFT FOOT IN FRONT ON ONE SQURE AND THE RIGHT FOOT BEHIND LIKE ON THE 2 BOX BEHID THE ONE UR RIGHT FOOT IS I AND PUT UR HAND N THE AIR LIKR YA JUST DONT CREA AND SWING YA ARMS LIKE A THE 12 INCHES AWAY FROM UR LEFTFOOT AND JUMP AND THATS IT :)
dont search for tutorials and so on, this trick is very easy just go out and dont be in any fear, theres not much injury potential. just go out and do it, try it for 20min and u got it :)
DUDE YOU FREIKEN ROCK!!!! MY HERO MAN! I WISH I CO ULD DO THAT STUFF (like in the summer force vid) WI CKED AWESOME!
Oh..... right...
Side flip i can only pull off on a tramp, but its easy. It s not even scary (i can do these all the time, but fr ont flips scare the shit outa me). Just get yourse lf focused, and then jump diagonlly up (mostly up ) and bring your legs up when they leave contact wi th the ground, if you can do a front flip or a back fl ip, it should help a lot with the flipping part. Th en, you justt stick your legs out and you land (hop efully, whhere you wanted too), and you look all c ool. Serisouly easy move though.
Well, I tried left sideflip (or aerial, or whate ver it's called) on the bed yesterday (nowhere el se to train). I got that far that I jumped up from cr ouching position (couldn't stand - no space) wit h my legs tucked and when my head was below and the t ucked legs above, I streched right leg to the grou nd and landed with right leg and a little help of my right hand (I did land on the leg first, then used m y hand to help me balance a little). Well, that's h ow far I got, but the question is - what trick was I d oing and was I doing it correctly? Because I don't know should I stretch the legs out and down when th ey are in the air or land with my legs tucked? Enlig hten me!
ppl fail to realise that this is the easiest spin trick to rotate on. ur body is more suited to rotat ed sideways because how our legs are, just lean, j ump, tuck and if u bottle out ull prob just land on u r side, ull never land on ur head with this move, ur side is probably the worst place to land on here an d u can protect ur side easily, just try it on a cras h mat or grass (im self taught so all ma stuff is on g rass)
uuuuhhhhhhhhhhh a side-flip is done by jumping up with both feet!!!! to learn a cartwheel or an ae rial first is trash!!!! it has nothing to do with a n aerial!!!!!
