  1. a round-off back lay-out with the legs wide apart. you can swing the legs out with straight knees or snap the feet like a jumping double front kick.
  2. Some people do it piked. I prefer layed out.

X-out Tips
by Koeryn on 2004-03-28
Ok, Uhm, for those who didnt get it in the descrip tion, X-outs are a back flip(back tuck) where you do the splits sorta, like what he (she?) describe d. Its really pretty simple (though i can only do i t on a tramp), all you do is the back tuck, but inste ad of tucking, you x your legs out. A cooler versio n of this would be to throw your arms out too, so its a full body lay out style. Nother cool variation: X-out with a 360 twist. www.teamryouko.com has a good clip on Allen Keng's sampler

Standing X Out
by grooveyeti on 2004-04-26
I didn't read the decriptio before i tried this o ne. I just thought "okay, like a backflip but your arms and legs spread. second try I landed it from s tanding. Even more wicked cool from roundoff or b ackspring. but, hey, are you supposed to have you r arms out or no?

Standing X out
by Anonymous on 2004-05-17
doesnt really matter on the arms thing either wa y, its an X-out

anyone got a video of this, it sounds like it look s amazing

x-out
by trict out on 2004-08-19
And x-out is relatively simple. All you have to d o is go into it like a back tuck...that is jump firs t, then tuck. A right after you tuck you quickly ki ck your legs out and tuck back in. So the progressi on of movements is tuck, kickk out (x-out) and the n tuck again. Thats the way the guys at Team Ryouko taught it to me at least.

by Honey on 2004-08-27
trict is very correct, but i would like to add to i t. Out of ur handspring snap down hard and set EXAC TLY like a tuck (which, at lowest, should be at you r standing head level). When you reach your VERY h ighest point of setting, rather than just throw y our body over, in a very fast motion hit a high V wit h your arms and split your legs as open as you can. T o look good snap together tight before landing. P pl who forget the arms disgust me. Sorry but I have never heard of a V - out being impressive -_-
